This particular client wanted a clean, neutral, sleek, transitional look to fit their professional lifestyles. The strategy was to have a neutral base, but buy several different groupings of decor and pillows to easily change the look of the room with out buying new furnishings. The art over the fireplace was chosen because of the variety of color in the picture. This was a good foundational piece to derive many different color schemes from. Enjoy!
We were so honored to be hired by our first clients outside of San Diego! This particular family lives in Los Altos Hills, CA, in Northern California. They hired us to decorate their grand-children's play room and guest rooms (see other album). Enjoy!
We were so honored to be hired by our first clients outside of San Diego! This particular family lives in Los Altos Hills, CA, in Northern California. After newly constructing their home, they recognized the need to decorate the guest wing portion of the house. This included three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Enjoy!
This space was an existing second dining room area that was not ever used by the residents. This client entertains frequently, needed ample bar storage, had a transitional look in mind, and of course wanted it to look great. I think we accomplished just that!
The Plaza Condominiums pursued J Hill Interior Designs to find a solution for a challenging lobby situation. The demographic of this condominium complex is very diverse, as was the design style of its HOA members. Moreover, there was existing furniture that needed to be incorporated into the design, all with budgets, and different design desires to keep in mind. The end product was fantastic with much great feedback. See more info about The Plaza here: http://plazacondospb.com/
These particular clients are from San Francisco and hired us to decorate their second home in Mission Beach. The goal of this project was to decorate in such a way that accommodated the family for their uses, and also renters while they are away. Window treatments, decor, bedding and furniture were strategically procured with both users in mind. Enjoy the pictures!
Most coastal homes in San Diego are smaller, anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 square feet, thus needed solutions for multipurpose rooms and smart, functional space plans. This nursery tripled as a closet (not shown in pictures), an office and a nursery. The living room space plan was to emphasize the view, yet still had adequate seating.
Our clients moved into their home with minimal furniture and decor from their previous residence. J Hill Interior Designs was hired to select paint colors, design lighting plan, and fully decorate the dining room, sitting room, living room and master bedroom. Enjoy!
Wings N Things contracted J Hill Interior Designs alongside contractors, architects and engineers to remodel an existing restaurant into WNT's new location in Temecula. We worked alongside our team members to design the space, space plan the restaurant, procure furnishings, decor, lighting, materials, and branding elements.
These North County clients were a young family that wanted multiple living spaces: an area for their daughter to play, a main TV area, custom built-ins for a desk, bar and display, as well as a formal dining room. They brought no furniture or decor with them to the new home, so everyone you see is brand new. Enjoy!
This North County home went from outdated and mundane to ultra sophisticated and bold. This client loves statement art, and wanted a clean, yet comfortable look. Scope of work was: All new recess lighting, new paint job, kitchen cabinet refinishing, new flooring and all new furniture and decor.
These clients wanted to phase out their project, starting first with the living room, with the next stage being office and dining room. Being only 2 blocks from the beach, a seaside theme was only fitting. Custom window treatments, a custom couch and upholstery, decor and a new paint job did wonders for this quaint home.
Our client had a specific list of things to take care of in their new Rancho Santa Fe home including complete rearranging of space plan, all custom window treatments, custom bedding, custom pillows, as well as the construction of a dry bar near the living room. This is a longer-term client with the list continuing on, so stay tuned for more pictures!
This was a downtown San Diego client, who wanted a modern twist on their condo. Living room art is from Adolfo Girala based out of New York, NY (http://www.artadolfo.com/), with the client's favorite furniture piece being the classic Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman from Herman Miller.
This dramatic remodel was composed of a complete kitchen renovation, new lighting, newly constructed master bathroom and closet, wall additions and demolitions, hardwood floor refinishing and a complete decorating project.
Wings N Things contracted J Hill Interior Designs to revamp the restaurant's space. Custom wall decor, paint color scheme, refacing of bar, opening of bar, new seating, custom steel table finishes and steel work, and menu boards were implemented. The project was considered a success with this restaurant's immediate increase in food sales and dine in customers.
J Hill Interior Designs re-vamped this condominium from dated and dull, to classic contemporary Coronado living. New flooring, paint and all new decor really made a difference in making the residents feel at home. Choosing the correct paint color was vital to create a more welcoming atmosphere and to brighten things up.
This beautiful new home in Eastlake was completely empty when we arrived on the project. Our client loved very neutral colors, hence the calm and simple look. We bought all furniture and decor from scratch which made this project a blank canvas. Our personal favorite space is the patriotic room. Love it!
We are honored and proud to be a part of this project in collaboration with Cecily's Closet, an organization that provides children with special needs a decorative room makeover. Read much more about this project, all the amazing people we worked with, and about the family coming soon on our blog!
We are extremely proud of this bathroom remodel, as it truly is a dramatic transformation. We were able to capture this hybrid look by using both cool and warm natural stone colors and shapes for the organic touch, with a touch of porcelain white and brushed nickel for the modern appeal. Check it out!
These clients from La Jolla had an unconventional request to combine TWO bathrooms into ONE. As you can see, the before pictures show two different bathrooms/showers, with a wall separating them. The design was to blow out the center wall, create a much larger clear glass shower, while keeping the "his and her" vanities on both sides. All construction was done by Hayes Construction & Design, Inc., and design work was carried through by us!
This client from Scripps Ranch had just finished remodel work in the kitchen and decided it was time to complete the house through redecoration. He wanted a "light contemporary" look, mixed with personality and color. We kept it personal by displaying his treasured sports memorabilia in the new built-in living room system. The guest room and master were also redecorated along with fresh paint colors.
This 5th generation Californian family wanted a bit of re-decoration work for the french country master bedroom. We also worked hard at re-vamping and re-organizing the master walk-in closet and other key areas of home. Note that home was originally designed by Susanne V. Bacino, ASID, CCIDC. We helped this client to give the master bedroom and other areas a facelift after many years of living in the spaces.
We transformed this vacant Coronado listing into a beautiful staged condo ready to attract buyers! The square footage and floor plan was challenging, however, our space planning abilities and decor selection skills combined to show the condo well to potential home owners
This was a Quick-Flip project to decorate an office where our client could relax on his day bed as a couch setting, have over-night guests sleep on the day bed (also is a twin sized mattress), and also do his work in his new desk area. Fun project!
This was a mother of three living in a generous-sized home that was in need of a little sprucing up. Her main goal was to add personality to the interiors, and to create fun areas for the kids; particularly the video-game room, and their office/loft area. It was a quick, and fun project!
